John van der Sluis is in charge of the management. He studied electronics at the Steehouwer institute in Rotterdam. Later he also followed courses in sociology at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He started constructing audio amplifiers with the brand name "HAWK" in 1971. From 1978 until 1986 he worked together with Peter van Willenswaard developing new amps based on the findings of Matti Otala.
His home equipment consists of a Philips CD-player, a Thorens record player with an Ortofon cartridge, a Sony cassettedeck (Dolby-S), a Kenwood KT-1100 tuner, the proto-type of the P-11 control amplifier and two monoblock A-15 power amps. The loudspeakers are his own designs, a tube with a two-way bassreflex system. The bass/mid-unit is a Ken Ishiwata (Marantz) design and the tweeter is a ceramic dome from Wharfedale. His favorite hobby is sailing.

Jan Van Gelderen, interviews and record reviews. Jan is also a journalist working for a Dutch paper and he writes books and articles about nature and environment.
At present he, being a music lover and regularly visiting the Amsterdam Concert Building, writes articles about recordings. On this site you'll find his article on Super Audio.

Marko Pol, the designer of the MP-DAC, completed his engineering studies at Hawk Audio. Marko now is designing digital circuitry at a laboratory formerly owned by Philips.

Joep Remkes, designer of the A-50 amplifier, completed his engineering studies at Hawk Audio. Joep now has a managing and consultancy job at a major telephone company.

Menno Spijker, designer of MS-Switch, MS-DAC and MS-Tube, completed his engineering studies at Hawk Audio and is at present working on R&D for a telecom company in Canada.

Jacco Dekkers finished his studies at the 'Technical University Sealand' with the project: 'JD-10'. At present he is working at the Philips Laboratories and at the same time continuing his studies at the Technical University in Eindhoven.

Wim van der Maarl finished his studies at the Technical Highschool in Rijswijk Netherlands with the research on vibrations in audio equipment. A result of this is our VIB ONE and VIB TWO. By now he has a job at an acoustic advisers company.
For music at home he uses a CD-player, the A-18 power amplifier with a volume control built in and his own design tube loudspeakers.

Frank Stelwagen finished his study at the Sealand Highschool with a project on surround equipment.
In his spare time he plays guitar in a Blues/Rock band. At present he continues his study at the University in Delft.
