MP - DAC
an advanced digital/analog converter

The righthand picture shows the interior of the DAC. At the bottom right the two transformers, one for the digital circuits and one for the analog output amplifier, can be seen. To the left you see the voltage stabilizing board. Upper right is the digital input board and upper left the output board with the discr
ete transistor amplifier and the passive filtering.
The lower picture shows the passive (CLC) filter of the MP-DAC. This filter is followed by a discrete amplifier with 4 transistors without overall feed back.
The power supply consists of two mains transformers, one for the digital supplies and one for the analog part. (Secondary values resp. 2 x 10 Volts - 30 VA and 2 x 30 Volt - 30 VA.) The two digital supply voltages are stabilized twice, once by a series regulator and once by a shunt regulator (very fast!). The analog supply is stabilized once with series regulators (+ and -28 Volt), and the circuit controlling the current in the output stage and the DC-offset is extra stabilized with shunt regulators.
The latest version of the complete MP-DAC kit including the newest 24-bit Crystal converter and low ESR capacitors is now deliverable.

The kit is also available without cabinet.
