The D-702-SE is a class D amplifier delivering a minimum output power of 2 x 70 Watt into 8 Ohm.
The amplifier is constructed using two pre-mounted amplifier modules. These modules differ from the standard D-702 because at the input special audiophile op amps were inserted and all capacitors are audiophile types. Also there's a special power supply added for the stabilisation of the power of the input circuitry.
The power supply is splitted, each channel has its own transformer, rectifier and buffer capacity (60.000 µF per channel).
The result of all this is a more refined audio, especially in the mid range with voices and violins. When compared this amplifier has the "character" of a class-A amplifier or a tube amplifier. Also there's a larger power reserve giving a more dynamic performance.
When mounting 19 holes are to be drilled and the power supply board has to be mounted with only few components. Wiring is done with only 10 wires.
